NVBS is an organization made up of like-minded artists, craftsmen and interested individuals engaged in
promoting the history, cultural influence, and creative value of beads and beading techniques to enlighten and
benefit the general public.  

NVBS is operated exclusively for charitable, social, cultural, and artistic purposes as defined by
section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

HISTORY
The Northern Virginia Bead Society (NVBS) was founded in 1992 by Ms. Lorraine
Morton.
  The organization has grown to a current membership of 175 members.

The purpose of the Society is to encourage the appreciation and creation of visual
arts through beads and specialized beading techniques.

The goal of the Society is to provide education about beads and beading techniques
while fostering within the organization, a network of fellowship, instruction, and
exchange of ideas.  
SO.....WHAT ELSE DOES NVBS DO??

-  We host an annual BEAD AND JEWELRY SHOW in October
-  We publish a quarterly electronic NEWSLETTER
-  We host WORKSHOPS with renown Bead Artists
-  OUR Workshops are OPEN to the Public!
